Rubber Buffers and Polyurethane Buffers

Machine Feet, Levelling Feet

Anti Vibration Machine Feet and Levelling Feet both can be supplied with a spindle for use in levelling equipment. NF and MSL machine feet include spindles, here the equipment is raised by turning the spindle. Soft machine feet used to reduce noise and vibration from machinery.

Floor damping

A floating floor acts as an isolator, as well as sound absorption and vibration isolation in both directions. For example, so that noise in a music studio doesn’t leak out into an office landscape, and the noise in the office landscape doesn’t enter the music studio.

Audiometric Sound Room

Audiometric sound room are among IAC Acoustics A/ S' core competencies. Over the years, we have installed more than 40,000 rooms worldwide. Our audiometric sound rooms comply with ISO standards and can be fitted to any building. We offer standard solutions as well as customised solutions.


Single Wall Audiometric Sound Room

The 40A series is a series of single-wall audiometric sound rooms suitable for all types of measurements, including free field measurements, ISO8253-2 and 3, if there is not too much background noise. The largest of the models have room for audiologists, children and parents at the same time.

In this series of audiometric sound rooms, the ventilation system is integrated in the ceiling and it is therefore well suited for places with low ceilings. As standard, all models come with:

  • Silent adjustable lighting
  • Low-noise ventilation, adjustable
  • Colour-coded socket panel, incl. USB
  • Sockets
  • Carpet or linoleum
  • Positioned on vibration silencers
  • Low threshold height


Double Wall Audiometric Sound Room

The 120A series is a series of double-wall audiometric sound rooms suitable for all kinds of measurements, including free-field measurements, ISO8253-2 and 3. The largest of the models have room for audiologists, children and parents at the same time. The rooms have a very high degree of sound insulation and, as standard, come fully equipped with:

Audiometric Sound Room with Control Room

The Act series is characterised by consisting of two rooms next to each other. Such an arrangement can typically be set up in four different ways, and the Act series is therefore subdivided into four sub-series: 40A, 120A, 140A, 160A. Typically, these models serve mostly as a source of inspiration for the design of a customised solution. The rooms have a very high degree of sound insulation and, as standard, come fully equipped with:

Fully Anechoic Chamber

IAC Acoustics A/S has the most experience in Europe with anechoic chambers. Since we opened in Scandinavia in 2000, we delivered dozens of anechoic chambers to respected companies such as Nokia, Oticon, Sennheiser and universities in the Nordics.

A fully anechoic chamber, also known as an echo-free room, is typically a box-in-box structure. 99% of all sound energy over a defined frequency band is absorbed by the walls, floors and ceilings, thus simulating a measurement set-up floating high up in the air, free of reflection and background noise.

An anechoic chamber must generally meet the requirements described in ISO 3744 or ISO 3745. Thus, electronics and hardware can be tested and certified according to various standards. Here, we have great expertise.

To build an anechoic chamber is a multidisciplinary discipline which requires a deep understanding of room acoustics, building acoustics and electro-acoustics. Furthermore, knowledge of building work and construction is also a prerequisite for good solutions. Semi-anechoic chamber

IAC Group has the most experience with semi-anechoic chambers in the world. Over the past 60 years, the group has developed and refined this type of acoustic test facilities. Hemi-anechoic chambers are often so large, it suffices to cover 5 of the room’s 6 surfaces with sound absorbing wedges to comply with prevailing standards. Out of the world's 10 largest hemi-anechoic chambers, we supplied 8. We provided this service to respected companies such as Volvo, Grundfoss, BMW, Jaguar, etc.

Hemi-anechoic chamber

A hemi-anechoic chamber can usually be installed in an existing building, provided the floor and supporting structures allow it. However, the room is often so large, a separate building must be constructed for this facility alone. In such cases, we assume the task of constructing the entire facility, all inclusive, so that the whole building is built around the acoustic test facility, providing a more homogeneous end result. Such services will be undertaken by our sister company, IAC UK.

Anechoic chambers are distinguished by 99% of sound energy above a defined frequency band being absorbed in the walls, floors and ceilings, thus simulating a measurement set-up floating high up in the air, free of reflection and background noise.

Flat anechoic chamber

A flat anechoic chamber is an almost anechoic chamber covered in flat sound absorbers on 5 of the rooms 6 inner surfaces. This is also called a planarchoic chamber. Flat anechoic chambers are used in situations where the acoustic requirements are not quite as strict.

Flat anechoic chambers is a form of anechoic chamber suitable for test environments in which the main objective is not solely acoustic measurements. In some cases, this type of room just meets "Engineering Grade" ISO 3744, but never "Precision Grade" ISO 3745.

Flat anechoic chambers distinguish themselves by being slightly cheaper to build than anechoic chambers with wedges. In addition, the acoustic absorbents in these do not take up as much space inside, resulting in a larger inner volume or the need for a smaller outer wall.

Apart from flat anechoic chambers usually housing slightly inferior and less precise measuring areas, also referred to as acoustic sweet spots, IAC Acoustics A/S' enclosure elements, such as sound-proof doors and windows, measuring set-ups etc., can form the basis for excellent acoustic facilities, despite the slightly inferior interior wall coverings.

Reverberation Room

Echo chambers, sometimes called reverberating chambers, is characterised by having extremely long reverberation, as opposed to an anechoic or echo-free chamber, which has close to no reverberation. IAC Acoustics A/S builds reverberant chambers which make it possible to measure acc. to ISO 354.


Reverberation room

A reverberation room, also referred to as a reverberating chamber or echo chamber, is the opposite of an anechoic chamber. The room's surfaces do not absorb sound but reflects it instead. Reverberant rooms are typically used to perform tests such as

  • Sound transmission in building components such as walls, doors or windows
  • Insertion attenuation in silencers
  • Microphones’ response characteristics
  • Materials’ sound absorption coefficients
  • Noise reduction tests in which equipment is tested under strong noise impact

With a reverberating chamber, you get a flexible acoustic test environment with a sound field in which sound energy flows equally in all directions. A reverberating chamber must be isolated from all external noise sources – and the temperature, pressure and humidity must also be under control.

Our solutions have been tested, and we have more than 60 years of experience in the design and construction of reverberant rooms.

As a rule, IAC Acoustics A/S' reverberant rooms are built in the IAC Hardliner™ panel construction, and comes readily connected to existing ventilation via our ventilation attenuators, complete with certification and commissioning test, light installations and power outlets.

If you need to build a reverberating chamber, you should contact one of our experts. There are many parameters to be assessed and considered in the process, and we will guide you towards making the right choices. Among other things must be addressed:

RF Protected Chambers

IAC Acoustics A/S has extensive experience with Faraday cage installations, and our solution distinguishes itself by not only having a high RF shielding, but also a high degree of acoustic dampening. RF Protected Chambers

IAC Acoustics A/S builds and installs Faraday cage installations which provide good protection from RF signals. Faraday cage structures may be used in many situations and for a variety of purposes, as described below.

Basically, our acoustic construction system, which is made of steel, is an excellent Faraday cage and without changing the default jointings and details, our Moduline delivers what we call a "level 1" shielding of 25dB. If desired, we can improve our jointing details, so that there is certain metallic contact in all jointings, and by placing RF gaskets in the doors and RF filters in the ventilation system as well as signal filters on all incoming electrical installations, we achieve what we refer to as a "Level 2" shielding of 50dB, which will be sufficient for most purposes. In case of, simultaneous, extreme RF protection and acoustics requirements, we can offer a solution where we build a 100% Faraday cage on the outside of our standard acoustic wall. We refer to such a solution as a "level 3" shielding of 100dB.

NANO room

IAC Acoustics A/S can build your new NANO laboratory. We have expertise in building rooms with exactly the properties required for a laboratory which works with NANO technology.


NANO chambers

Within NANO technology, immense progress has been made in recent years. In that regard, IAC Acoustics A/S has helped develop facilities which are particularly suited to work with NANO technology. In the projects we have been involved in, it has been a requirement to reduce physical vibrations and movements caused by sound waves to an absolute minimum. In addition, it has been a requirement that the rooms were shielded from radio frequencies in the same way as a Faraday cage is. To meet these requirements, we have built the rooms from some of our heaviest and best acoustic panels. All joints and lead-ins have been done acoustically correct and in accordance with good etiquette as regards RF and EMC protected rooms. Below is a list of some of the features which our NANO rooms have been equipped with:

  • Acoustics dampened and RF shielded ventilation system with HEPA filters
  • Filter on all electrical lead-ins in order to avoid electrical noise, and the introduction of the RF signals
  • Installation of acoustic absorbers suitable for clean rooms and laboratories for controlling the reverberation time
  • Radiators on walls and ceilings with cold and hot water supply keep the temperature at 20 degrees + 1/-1 degree
  • Lighting via optical fibres, so that signal noise is kept outside the room

The NANO rooms we built, however, have all been different. Some of them have been large and others have been small. All in all, the large amount of technical installations and high requirements for background noise, vibration and RF shielding make NANO rooms one of our most complex products.

IAC Acoustics A/S' modular construction system makes it possible to fit an interview room into virtually all existing buildings. Doors with a high degree of sound insulation and windows with an extremely high degree of sound insulation are a requirement for this type of room. Pleasant surroundings make up the setting for a confidential conversation and make the interviewee relax and open up about difficult issues.

Interview rooms are available with:

  • One-way mirrors where you can look inside, but not out
  • Installation of hidden microphones and other digital devices
  • Silent ventilation which lowers stress levels

Interview rooms belong under "Confidential". And this includes that any weak link in the structure must have at least a Rw55 rating.


Secret rooms

Bug and espionage safe rooms are a niche in which IAC Acoustics A/S has specialised. The rooms are used for the storage of confidential documents and conversations between officers and officials with security clearances.

Bug-safe and espionage-safe rooms form the setting for the storage of confidential documents and conversations between security cleared officers and officials. Our expertise with this type of facilities comes from the many SCIF facilities we have built in the US and the international ties in the IAC organisation mean that we can offer these spaces in Europe as well. The rooms are built on the basis of common standards for secret rooms written for the air force, navy and army.

The rooms can be built as containers which can be sent along on missions or as stationary facilities in existing buildings. The IAC Group has experience in building secret rooms which comply with various standards such as:

As a point of departure, all our secret rooms are designed with:

Usually, it is requested that the facility meets a cross between the different standards and requirements, so that the facility eventually meets the actual needs rather than fictitious needs arising from standards and international rules.


Rooms for animal testing

Experiments with animal hearing and trials in which animals must not be disturbed by external sounds can be conducted in rooms from IAC Acoustics A/S. The hearing threshold of animals changes from race to race, but through a few adjustments, we can configure facilities which are usually intended for humans and hardware to be suitable for testing animals.

Many of IAC Acoustics A/S' acoustic facilities are made for human testing, including listening and audiology booths. Similarly, we can build test facilities for experiments on animals. Sometimes, we have been involved in projects to build test facilities for tests on animal species ranging from pigs, crows, seals, rats and monkeys. Usually, these are tests concerned with learning in undisturbed surroundings or medicine trials which may affect hearing. Our very small anechoic chambers are mostly suited for experiments on small animals, whereas tests on larger animals such as horses and pigs must naturally take place in larger facilities, where we typically use some of the same design principles as when we build audiometric sound rooms. Rooms for larger animals are almost always a special task, and since most animals hear well and poorly at different frequency ranges, such facilities must be adjusted accordingly.

IAC Acoustics A/S will not contribute to projects in which animals are assumed to suffer during tests or studies.

When it comes to very noisy facilities, no panel system reduces noise as well as IAC Moduline. The panel system can be delivered in several different types, with acoustic data from 40dB(A) for the most simple panel to 60dB(A) for the best panel. The panel system can be provided with windows, doors etc. which, like the panel system, are designed to dampen at least as much noise as the panel. The system is modular, and all deliveries are made on the basis of prior measurements and assessments of your actual needs. The fact that the panel system is modular makes it possible to disassemble the system and reassemble it again in many places without losing acoustic integrity. Over the years, IAC has delivered more than 80,000 Moduline constructions and this panel system is also used to build the wall of recording studios, anechoic chambers, interview rooms etc. The panel system can be constructed in plain galvanised sheet, but is also available in painted or stainless steel.

The Access Line System

Light panels and simple assembly details with removable panels which allow for quick access to machine parts is the hallmark of this system. The system is based on old known principles of acoustic enclosures and machine enclosures.

All doors and hatches buildt with this type of acoustic enclosure system can be removed without loosening bolts and screws. The system is based on old, known principles of machine encapsulation and is always built to your measurements, needs and desires. Very suitable for dampening the noise around 15-28dB(A). The system can be supplied in regular cold galvanised plate or stainless plate as desired. The system is produced here in Denmark and also has a very short delivery time.

Valve mufflers

IAC Acoustics A/S produces valve mufflers to reduce the noise which is created across operating valves and safety valves. Valve mufflers are produced from very small standard models and up to very large, custom-built models tailored to your specific needs.


Valve muffler

A valve muffler is a component made to reduce the very high level of noise which occurs when high pressure gas or steam is released into the open atmosphere. The noise is produced by the rapid turbulence which occurs in the mixing chamber and the rapid expansion of the gas as it enters the atmosphere. Valve mufflers can also exert rearward pressure on the degassing process, thus ensuring correct operation of the facility.

Typically, two silencing principles are built into a valve muffler. First, there is a diffuser section to address the deep tones and dim wideband noise. Next, there is an absorption section which substantially attenuates middle and high frequency noise.

Valve mufflers are usually used in power plants and process plants and can be used to dampen the noise of safety relief valves, operating valves, start-up valves etc.

The IAC Noise Shield noise screen is IAC Acoustics A/S’ tested and certified solution for a noise screen. The design is characterised by extreme noise reduction, particularly in the low frequencies. The product is available with a graffiti-resistant surface and with brackets which allow plants to grow along the side and, eventually, completely cover the surface so that, over a number of years, it blends in with nature and surroundings. IAC Acoustics A/S soundproof doors are offered as single doors and double doors with sound classifications from 47dB(A) to 64dB(A). Simple frame structures make it possible to incorporate these soundproof doors in virtually every wall and wall construction.

IAC Acoustics A/S soundproof doors are in a class of their own. This is a quality product, and it can be felt from the moment you take hold of the door. It swings open silently and closes with just the right sound, but most importantly, it keeps the noise out. As much as 64dB(A).
Most soundproof doors on the market have earned their silencing certificates by testing doors with a single leaf. We tested our doors in double-leaf configuration, inserted into frames and with built-in windows. Therefore, you can be sure that our doors actually keep what they promise.
As a special thing, our doors are equipped with CAM-lift hinges which lift the door when it opens and lets it sink tight against the threshold when closing. In addition, CAM-lift hinges make the doors self-closing. Magnetic strips keep the door closed tightly, and all doors are delivered with a door closer which ensures a steady and controlled closing of these relatively heavy door leaves. Soundproof doors like these have a thicker leaf than other doors, and therefore not all fittings fit these doors. To make the choice of fittings easy and unproblematic, we made a series of package solutions of fittings and hardware which fit our doors. In this connection, reference is made to the download at the bottom.

IAC Acoustics A/S delivers and installs custom-built gates with high requirements for sound attenuation. Our soundproof gates are, in principle, large soundproof doors with particularly strong frames which can carry the very heavy door leaves.

IAC Acoustics A/S' soundproof doors go by the name Super Noise Lock or Z-frame doors. Our soundproof doors can be built up to 7 meters in height and 5 meters wide for a double leaf door. Since soundproof doors are too large for laboratory testing, these doors are not Rw marked, but rather R'w. That means that these marks are given on the basis of field measurements, which are usually some dB below laboratory measurements. Our soundproof doors are known for their durability and the soundproof doors we installed 25 years ago still work today.
When the leaves are large, it may be an idea to install a soundproof door in door leaf which allows passage without the need to open the entire gate or door. IAC has two standard models:

Soundproof sliding doors

Soundproof sliding doors are a rare product which very few companies in Europe sell. IAC Acoustics A/S' acoustic sliding doors are simple constructions with easy installation and long life.

Usually, IAC Acoustics A/S’ soundproof sliding doors are delivered as a manually operated sliding door, but can also be provided with an automatic door opener controlled by sensors or a push-button. The construction moves horizontally and the door can be configured to slide left or right, whichever fits best.

The sliding door can also be divided in half, so that a door leaf runs to either side and finally, it may also come with windows and doors of passage in the largest constructions.

Our soundproof sliding doors are rated at 40dB(A).

The windows are built to order and assembled in our factory, so that they can easily and quickly be installed when they arrive. Our soundproof windows are precision-made and are available in various materials such as stainless steel or plain galvanised steel. Thanks to their simple construction, they can be installed in ordinary buildings with e.g. concrete walls and plaster structures. Usually, acoustic windows are indoor constructions and not suitable for installation in facades. All our window constructions are acoustically tested and certified.

Therefore, at IAC Acoustics A/S, we developed our own software which, in 10 minutes, can simulate the acoustics of a room and tell you what it takes to provide your rooms/premises with pleasant acoustics which are in line with Danish rules and guidances.

Most often, there are several sources of noise which cross each other and, despite otherwise good acoustics, there is still too much noise. In such situations, the noise sources must be located and treated individually. IAC Varitone

IAC Varitone is an acoustic absorption panel designed to absorb sound and distracting echo. The panel has a sound-absorbing core and a perforated steel surface which shields the sound absorber from impact and shock. The sound absorbing panel is typically used as a wall panel and is available in thicknesses of 50mm and 100mm, where the 100mm model absorbs low frequencies slightly better. The panel is available in up to 3.6 meters in length.


IAC Ro/Ro

IAC Ro/Ro is a suspension system for hygiene baffles, especially designed for the food and pharmaceutical industries. Baffles suspended from IAC Acoustics A/S’ Ro/Ro suspension system are mounted on trolleys which run on a rail system mounted directly below the ceiling. The baffles are mutually connected, so that they can be pulled to a selected area in the production room, where cleaning and maintenance can take place.


Paroc Buller Bevel

Buller Bevel from Paroc is a very popular product which offers quick acoustic control at a price which is easy to understand. The panels can be glued directly onto the wall and ceiling and needs no rail systems or mechanical fastening. The panels are 1200x600x40 mm, and, by default, all surfaces are white. The panels have a broken edge which allows them to be mounted directly next to each other. Fast delivery.


Paroc wall coverings

Parafon wall panel is, in our opinion, a fantastic product. This wall covering with a slugger surface is delivered in large panels of 2700x1200x40 mm, which are then cut during assembly and fitted on top and bottom rails. The product is highly impact-resistant and is extremely easy to clean with its dirt-repellent surface. The product comes in white, grey and black.


Paroc Classic

Parafon classic is an acoustic panel for suspended ceilings. The panel has good absorption coefficients and a high degree of light reflectance. Suitable for offices, classrooms and commercial buildings in general. The product comes in many thicknesses, sizes and colours, as well as with edges A and E. Parafon Classic is a safe choice for any office.


Paroc Foil Baffle

The Parafon foil baffle is an acoustic absorbent suitable for use in food and pharmaceutical industries. The foil baffles can be mounted individually on wire or S-hooks, so that there is still access to technical installations and light can enter the building. The foil is made from PE and a bit of UV inhibitor has been added, prolonging its life.

Absoflex Flex is a modern acoustic panel for mounting directly on a wall. The product comes in many sizes and colours. Ground Run-Up

In an airport, noise control is fundamental. In order to protect the immediate environment from noise from the routine testing of aircraft engines, a Ground Run-up Enclosure (GRE) is used for reducing the noise level and divert heat and turbulent gases.

GRE must be usable as many days a year as possible. Therefore, it must be designed aerodynamically correct. If the GRE is designed incorrectly, this may limit the usefulness either due to a lack of airflow or re-entry of hot exhaust gases from the engines. If the GRE is not usable, it can lead to delays.

With a combination of our extensive experience in test facilities for aircraft engines and advanced computer models, we have developed the next generation of GREs which can handle almost all wind conditions.

GRE is designed to not only reduce engine noise, but also reduce air turbulence and re-entry of exhaust which can otherwise make engines stall. Our researchers have conducted extensive computational fluid dynamics analysis to ensure that our GRE design can withstand headwind, tailwind and crosswind.

IAC Acoustics' GRE is constructed using Jetshield™ and Aerowall™ sections (both patent pending), which consist of rigid steel, concrete and IAC Noishield™ acoustic panels and Powerflow™ silencers.

Jetshield™ rear wall construction

Jetshield™ redirects and accelerates jet streams away from the facility. The direction of air flow and air velocities significantly reduce re-entry and thus helps keep engines running without stopping.

Aerowall™ sidewall construction

Compared to traditional GREs, Aerowall™ sidewalls are specifically designed for extreme performance, both in regard to aerodynamics and acoustics.

Powerflow™ air ducts

Powerflow™ damped vertical air ducts reduce damaging winds and airflow distortion and reduces air turbulence.

IAC Acoustics' GREs are not just extremely functional. They are also aesthetically pleasing and can even be coated to match other buildings at the site. The modular construction makes the casing affordable and provides good value for money. A typical project takes 6 months to complete.

During the design phase, 3D simulations and visualisations via 3D Google Earth® photos of the airport area are conducted. This visual presentation gives a very good overview of the GRE's expected dampening effect in relation to the local area

APU Testing Facilities are test facilities for auxiliary engines. Auxiliary engines are most frequently referred to as APUs (Auxiliary Power Unit).
APUs are used to start the main engines of most aircraft, military vehicles, rockets and spacecraft.

APU Testing Facilities are Test facilities for auxiliary engines. Auxiliary engines are most frequently referred to as APUs (Auxiliary Power Unit). APUs are used to start the main engines of most aircraft, military vehicles, rockets and spacecraft, but can also act as a power supply to other systems when the main engine is out of service.

The APU must be tested regularly to ensure that it functions as it should. In a typical test procedure, the APU is started and loaded under a variety of conditions, so that on this basis it may be ensured that the performance, fuel consumption, vibration, and other operating factors are optimal.

The APU, which is a high-power engine, is placed in the test facility which, for safety reasons, is located away from control equipment and personnel. A typical engine test facility is capable of reading and processing process signals relating to the control and measurement of motor fuel, power and performance.

Mesh Type Jet Wake Barrier

IAC Acoustics A/S Mesh Type Jet Wake Barrier has a special metal net which diverts the jet blast and spreads it upwards at an angle of between 60º and 80º. As the jet stream passes through the barrier, it is mixed with the outside air, which both cools it and the lowers its speed.

Jet Wake barriers are safety devices which redirect high-energy exhaust from a jet engine to prevent damage and injury. The structure must be strong enough to withstand the heat and air flows at high speed, as well as the dust and dirt carried by the turbulent air.

IAC Acoustics A/S’ Mesh Type Jet Wake Barrier is characterised by having a particular metal net which diverts the jet blast and spreads it upwards at an angle of between 60º and 80º. As the jet stream runs through the barrier, it is mixed with the outside air, which both cools the air and reduces its speed.

Another advantage of our Mesh type Jet wake Barrier is that you can see through it, which has great importance in terms of safety. Since this allows you to both see and hear that there is a plane on the other side.

Mesh Type is also available in a version which is not inclined 90 degrees, but is placed vertically against the underlay as a regular wall.

IAC Jet Wake Barriers are painted in the approved aeronautical colours of red and white in accordance with the requirements of international CAA guidelines. The barrier is made of galvanised steel and has an aesthetically pleasing expression.

IAC Jet Wake Barriers are inclined 30º and are 3m tall. The barriers can either be attached directly to the ground or mounted on concrete blocks, which can be moved into place by a forklift. The barrier is delivered from the factory flat-packed on pallets and assembled directly on-site with standard tools. In addition, it is modular and easy to move.

The barriers have been tested in wind tunnel by the INTA aerodynamics laboratory in Torrejon. This type of Blast Deflector is effective in wind speeds of at least 130 km/h.


Curved Type Jet Wake Barrier

IAC Acoustics A/S Curved Jet Wake Barrier are rated for Full Power and diverts the slip stream directly into the air. Curved Jet Wake Barrier can be upgraded as a noise screen with an effect of 10-15dB.

Hush Houses make testing and maintenance possible in all weather conditions, around the clock in a secluded environment where noise is reduced. Anbefalinger om vibrationsteknik

Kravene til støjsvage maskiner og deres omgivelser er stadig stigende, men en lang række støj- og vibrationsproblemer i industrianlæg, kontorer, boliger, køretøjer m.m. kan afhjælpes ved brug af svingningsdæmpere. Maskiner i ubalance frembringer vibrationer, der overføres til underlaget og derfra forplanter sig videre som støj (strukturstøj).

Formålet med en vibrationsisolering er at reducere vibrationer, der overføres fra maskine til underlag. En korrekt dimensioneret svingningsdæmper kan reducere vibrationerne med mere end 90 %, men aldrig 100 %. (90 % isolering betyder, at kun 10 % af vibrationskraften overføres).

En maskine opstillet på svingningsdæmpere udgør et svingende system med mindst én egenfrekvens. Falder påtrykningsfrekvensen (f.eks. maskinens omdrejningstal) sammen med egenfrekvensen, forstærkes vibrationerne. Den bedste isolering opnås, når påtrykningsfrekvensen er betydelig højere end egenfrekvensen. De fleste maskiner er vanskelige at afbalancere fuldstændigt, og en ubalance kan f.eks. løses gennem en vibrationsisolering. Hvis der gøres en række forudsætninger om det svingende system, er dimensioneringsproceduren relativ enkel.

Gummi fremstilles i en række forskellige typer med bestemte egenskaber.

VIKAS’ svingningsdæmpere fremstilles normalt i en af de nedennævnte gummityper, men andre gummityper kan leveres.

Materialeegenskaber

Hårdhed

For at udnytte gummiets egenskaber bedst fremstiller VIKAS svingningsdæmpere i forskellige hårdheder. Da gummiet ikke kan komprimeres, vil en fjedervirkning kun kunne opnås, når gummiet er under belastning og kan “bule” ud. Gummiets nedbøjning bestemmes af dets dimension, facon og hårdhed. Hårdheden angiver gummiets modstand mod formforandringer under tryk. Gummi tåler store trykbelastninger med nedbøjning på ca. 20 % af den ubelastede højde.

Tværbelastning eller “shear” må normalt antage maksimalt 20 % af trykbelastningen. Det bør tilstræbes, at gummiet ikke udsættes for trækbelastninger, idet gummiets levetid dermed reduceres væsentligt.

Industri vaskemaskiner kan effektivt vibrationsdæmpes ved at placere alle vaskemaskinerne på én samlet konstruktion, som er opstillet på et vibrationsdæmpende materiale. Konstruktionen kan være af træ eller beton og jo tungere en konstruktion desto bedre vibrationsdæmpning kan man opnå.

Vibrationsdæmpning af tørretumblere i vaskerum

Industri tørretumblere kan effektivt vibrationsdæmpes ved at placere alle tørretumblerne på én samlet konstruktion, som er opstillet på et vibrationsdæmpende materiale. Konstruktionen kan være af træ eller beton og jo tungere en konstruktion desto bedre vibrationsdæmpning kan man opnå.

Løbebånd kan effektivt vibrationsdæmpes ved at placere alle løbebåndene på én samlet konstruktion, som er opstillet på et vibrationsdæmpende materiale. Konstruktionen kan være af træ eller beton og jo tungere en konstruktion desto bedre vibrationsdæmpning kan man opnå.

Vægtmaskiner kan give en del støj i bygninger når vægtene slippes og rammer resten af vægtstakken samt når håndtagene, man bruger i maskinen, rammer retur punktet.

Vi har vibrationsdæmpet vægttræningsmaskiner ved at dimensionere VIKAFOAM brikker for de enkelte maskiner i fitness centret. Vi kigger på hvor mange kilo der er i vægtstakken og hvor mange ben der er på maskinen, og så finder vi en passende størrelse VIKAFOAM brik.

Vibrationsdæmpning af fri vægte

Fri vægte kan give meget støj i bygninger, når vægtene slippes fra hofte/knæhøjde og rammer gulvet. Her er der flere muligheder for at foretage en effektiv vibrationsdæmpning.

Den nok mest effektive er at bygge en flydende gulv så hele gulvet hvor der trænes med fri vægte foregår på et gulv, der effektivt er koblet fra resten af bygningen. Herved behøver man ikke gøre så meget ved selve stederne, hvor vægtene falder.

Alternativt kan der laves ”Drop Zoner”, hvor vægtene kan lande blødt, dette fiksere opstillingen af bænke, og dem der træner skal være opmærksomme på hvor de smider vægtene. Dette er dog en væsentligt billigere løsning der er nem at installere.

Det eneste vi kan anbefale, for vibrationsdæmpning af vaskemaskiner, er for nyere boliger med betondæk. På beton gulvet placeres 4 klodser VIKAFOAM 170, 37mm høje, og ovenpå dem monteres ca. 200kg stålplader, der boltes sammen. Oven på denne konstruktion opstilles vaskemaskinen, og dette giver en effektiv dæmpning.

I lejligheder, med trækonstruktion imellem etagerne, kan vi desværre ikke anbefale noget.

Vibrationsdæmpning af Home Trainer (cykeltræner)

For vibrationsdæmpning af Home Trainer (cykeltræner), kan man starte med en Home Trainer-måtte eller noget gulvtæppe. Er dette ikke nok, er der lavet forsøg med 2 brikker af VIKAFOAM 170, 37mm høje, hvor der ovenpå placeres en krydsfinerplade min 21mm tyk og med dimensioner så kun Home Traineren står oven på den.

Sørg for at dimensionerne på pladen er store nok til at Home Traineren ikke glider ned fra den. Brikkerne placeres ude under sidestøtterne, så der er balance i systemet. Denne opstilling har størst effekt på beton dæk, og mindre på trækonstruktioner.
Vær opmærksom på at denne opstilling giver en noget mere fleksibel opstilling af cyklen.

Vibrationsdæmpning af løbebånd

Pris afhænger af typen af løbebånd.

Vibrationsdæmpning af løbebånd er ikke så nemt, da der allerede er en del fleksibilitet i løbearealet, og når der så yderligere kommer bløde dæmpere under kan folk synes at det bliver for blød og ustabil en opstilling.

Det bedste vi kan anbefale, er brikker af VIKAFOAM materiale ca. 25mm højt, der placeres under hvert ben. Type og størrelse af VIKAFOAM brik dimensioneres efter type af løbebånd. Denne opstilling har størst effekt på beton dæk, og mindre på trækonstruktioner.

Vi anbefaler at pladespilleren ophænges/monteres på en bærende væg. For yderligere passiv isolering af pladespilleren, kan der anvendes nogle små gummibuffere f.eks. type GB03036.

Vibrationsdæmpning af højtaler

Altid en god ide at bruge vibrationsdæmpere ved opstilling af højtalere om det er nogle store gulv højtalere eller væg/lofts monterede satelit højtalere. Vi har forskellige vibrationsdæmpere vi anbefaler, som cylindriske eller kegle dæmpere til gulv højtalere og CH1 el. CH2 til loftsmonterede højtalere og så har vi dæmper type VT til vægmonterede højtalere. Står højtalerne på en slags hyldeknægt kan du bruge cylindriske dæmpere under højtalerne.

New fiberglass Blast Wall in CPH Airport

As part of the construction of Pier E - Phase 2 in Copenhagen Airport, IAC Acoustics was commissioned to handle the design, project management and installation of a 286-meter-long Blast Wall. The Blast Wall is first of its kind in Denmark.

As part of the construction of Pier E - Phase 2 in Copenhagen Airport, IAC Acoustics was commissioned to handle the design, project management and installation of a 286-meter-long Blast Wall.

Since 1925, Copenhagen Airport has created travel opportunities, business, and experiences for millions of people. It is the main international airport serving Copenhagen, Zealand and a large part of Southern Sweden, and the largest airport in the Nordic Countries with close to 30,3 million of passengers per year ( 2019).

In December 2016 Copenhagen Airport announced an ambitious project to expand the airport to meet the future, aiming to be one of the most efficient, service-oriented, and sustainable airports in the world. As a part of this, the construction of the new Pier E will accommodate 10 gates for large aircrafts and 20 for smaller aircrafts on European routes. The first phase of Pier E was completed in 2019 adding 22,000 m2 to the airport with 7 gates and 800 seats. The second phase is currently in progress and will be finished in late 2020.

As a part of Phase 2, IAC Acoustics was commissioned to handle the design, project management and installation of a 286-meter-long Blast Wall. The radar invisible jet blast deflector fence is engineered to withstand jet blast, protecting buildings, navigation equipment, vehicle traffic and ground personnel of the airport.

A Blast Wall provides safety in the Airport

Safety for aircrafts and ground personnel of the airport

The Blast Wall is first of its kind in Denmark, uniquely designed in radar-invisible fiberglass. The transparent fiberglass makes it possible for aircraft and equipment to navigate alongside each other in the busy airport areas, providing safety as well as an efficient workflow.

IAC Acoustics responded to the unique criteria put forward by Copenhagen Airport to develop a bespoke solution from the range of standard Jet blast deflector products in the IAC portfolio. The final design of fibreglass deflector offers many key advantages over traditional metal barriers that were key to meeting the Copenhagen Airport requirements, these include:

  • Zero radar footprint - nonconductive and non-magnetic to radar and radio frequencies
  • No corrosion - an indefinite operational lifetime with almost zero maintenance over many years
  • The materials can be recycled at disposal

Vibration engineering services

Measurements

Simultaneous measurement of noise and vibration can help determine which machines are annoying and which are not. The noise may be due to a combination of the machine's high sound output, low sound absorption around the machine and poor acoustic insulation in the building. The noise can also be caused by vibrations which is transmitted from the machine to the building's walls, which radiate sound everywhere. Noise and vibration measurements should be able to determine what kind of transmission is dominant.
Frequency analysis reveals the type of vibration isolation needed. If there are only one or two machines that can cause vibrations and noise, then it is often cheaper to improve vibration isolation than to carry out noise mapping.

Troubleshoot existing installations where problems with noise or vibrations have been identified. Here it may be helpful to look at the frequency analysis and the timing signal simultaneously. Including signal from a press.

Vibration over and under existing vibration isolators with the plant in operation reveals whether they are effective or not.
Vibration along the pipe connections on the compressors (or other machines) shows whether the connections are sufficiently flexible, or whether it is necessary to hang up flexible tubes in order to isolate them from the building.

Calculation of vibration isolation

The easiest and cheapest vibration isolation is achieved when the system is symmetrical on three axes. The symmetry reduces the coupling of vibrations in different directions.
We provide free vibration calculations for systems, where each anti-vibration damper carries the same load. The solution is simple, as the solution can be found for a single vibration mode at a time.
Example of calculation of a simple equipment set up.

The calculation demonstrates the efficiency of a selected vibration isolation with the chosen damping materials. It provides an easy opportunity for comparison of different solutions.
If a system is constructed without concern for symmetry, placement of the centre of gravity and load distribution between damping materials, then calculations will take longer, and more data about weight distribution will be required before an effective solution is found. The effects of double vibration isolating can also be calculated using a double mass system. A double-action system, for example, consist of a compressor which is set up with vibration inhibitors on a frame, which in turn is vibration isolated from the floor. An accurate calculation requires good knowledge of component masses and mass moments of inertia. The solution requires a total determination of 12 double mode conversions.
